Looking for something fun and different to do on these cold winter nights? Try Norwood’s hidden jewel! Norwood Theatre pleases every possible palette with show offerings from the classic Nutcracker, to a Styx tribute band, to Steve Sweeney comedy, even movie classics on the big screen. Yes, finally, a theatre for ALL tastes.
How about a bit of history to discuss over pre-theatre dinner? Norwood Theatre was built in 1926-1927 by the Premier Theatre Company and designed by Norwood native William G. Upham, who also designed the old Norwood High School. His design is meant to compliment other downtown buildings such as Town Hall and surrounding churches. In 2010, the current owners took on a massive restoration project spanning two years, which added modern conveniences like climate control and an elevator, while restoring the original beauty of most other features.
Norwood Theatre is less than 2 miles from One Upland, surrounded by a handful of great spots to grab dinner, making this a perfect night out! Act fast – there are a few shows in the 731 seat theatre during 2016 that are already SOLD OUT! Visit www.norwoodstage.com to view all upcoming shows and purchase tickets online.
